Ayinde is a common name amongst the Yoruba people of west Africa. The Yoruba emerged amongst the Volta-Niger populations of the area, as of the 1st century AD. From that starting-point of fixed settlement, city living and imperial conquest emerged natively amongst this ethnic group as of the 12th century AD.
